AMP Capital Investors Limited has sold Glenmore Park Town Centre and a parcel of adjoining land to the Village Fair Group. Village Fair has many years experience specialising in the development and asset management of convenience and sub-regional shopping centres. It is Village Fair’s intention to expand Glenmore Park Town Centre with the addition of a discount department store, another mini-major and specialty shops. Village Fair’s architects are currently preparing an exciting new scheme and a Development Application will be lodged with Penrith City Council as soon as possible. If their targeted timetable is met, construction will commence as soon as approval is received and is expected to take approximately 12 months.
“Glenmore Park is a vibrant community and residents will be happy to know that the Village Fair Group has a history of becoming involved in local activities where they hold shopping centres,” said Colin Henry, Managing Director, Raine & Horne Commercial who negotiated the sale.
A second supermarket is part of the plans. The selling price was $40 million including the vacant land. Glenmore Park Town Centre will be managed by Raine & Horne Commercial.
